Shealy's analytical capability includes organic analyses by gas chromatography/mass
spectroscopy (GC/MS) and by gas chromatography (GC) with multiple detectors for
identification and confirmation. Various methodologies are employed for the analyses of volatiles,
semivolatiles, pesticides, herbicides, PCBs, and hydrocarbons.
Inorganic metals analyses are performed using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), trace inductively coupled plasma (ICP), graphite furnace atomic absorption (GFAA), cold vapor atomic fluorescence spectrometer (CVAFS), and cold vapor atomic absorption (CVAA). Inorganic non-metals analyses are performed using an autotitrator, auto-analyzers, ion chromatography, and classical manual wet chemisty techniques. |
